NPCs are a real problem...
Oddly, it didn't even dawn on me what a problem until covid when I watched 80-90% of the populace (including supposedly intelligent people) behave like subhuman cards.
Having seen it though, I now understand how there were "war fevers" for WWI and WWII. It just happens every so often that we reach critical levels of stupidity and humanity cries out for a culling.
