When I taste @philine_isabelle_dienger wine. I feel a little bit like that movie #shesouttamyleague with @aliceeve. Little did I know she was 👀’ing our little import company like Bey was eyeing Jay. 😂🕺🏽💃🏻
If you’ve never had the pleasure of meeting @philine_isabelle_dienger. She is sarcastic, funny, full of energy and emotion. And is a perfect way of describing her wines. They are quite emotional experiences.
Her work is really in the vineyard. She is very focused on understanding what is best for the vines and grapes. With giving them a lot of what they need but not so much of what they want. It results in grapes that thrive and speak of place. It allows her to really make the wines in the vineyard! In the cellar the wines make themselves.
This is true for all the wines with the exception of this one! Ritmico is a trial that involves continuing the feelings that the vines go through and bringing them into the cellar with a variety of different exposures to the sun and temperatures. A small trial yielded unbelievable results from the grapes of Preda in….200 bottle quantity for the world. Luckily we are one of the three places in the world to get an allocation of this wine!
Besides the Ritmico - which I’ll drink it all anyways 😂, her Langhe Nebbiolo is profound and I think (along with the dream team in Piedmont) is redefining what Langhe means in both taste and the market places. With the 21 her Chardonnay has taken a huge step up in quality and it’s exciting to see the step but even more exciting to show that Chardonnay in Piedmont can be a serious wine. I’m addition we are patiently awaiting the first release of Barolo next year 🥰
