One thing that bums me out about finding out I'm autistic (and non-binary) this late in life is that I don't have living parents. I would've loved to talk about these things with them to get insights.
I've been trying to think their neurotypes. I have a feeling that my mother was... I don't know. She had qualities that might've meant she had ADHD. Then again, she could've been autistic instead/as well but in a "female autism" kinda way (I know that's a problematic term). My father, on the other hand, passed away when I was 8 so I don't have much to work on. However, I've understood that I inherited so many traits from him so maybe...
