Another thing that is pretty cool is that human technological progress is now much more robust and defensible.

Imagine a cataclysmic event. Solar flare, meteor, nuclear exchange etcโ€ฆ

All it takes to restart humanity now is a single LLM running locally somewhere.

Weโ€™d probably rebuild some things a little wonky due to the hallucination problem but basically humanity could rebuild nearly from scratch.

All you need is a solar-powered computer and an LLM running offline.

You could start asking it questions.

How do we purify water without electricity? How do you grow food in poor soil? Whatโ€™s the best way to build a shelter from scrap? How do you teach kids math from scratch? How do we deliver a baby without modern equipment?

Over time, that little community could rebuild agriculture, medicine, engineering and even governance guided by dialogue with a machine that holds echoes of all human knowledge.

No more library of Alexandria moments, thatโ€™s a crazy shift.
