Was just about to reply about this feature. Tags make more sense to me for the approach described in that article, and you can access them with +tagname (and bookmarks can have multiple tags). But keywords combined with the %s in the URL feel like a legit super power.
BTW, I'm stealing your Python stdlib URL keyword, that's a great one!
