We do implement web of trust features underth hood. Has spam gotten worse for you? I saw a new wave of reply bots. Probably made it through because a couple people followed them.
I put you on a follow list. Primal is changing our onboarding in a couple days. People who will follow you from that list will be more intentional (i hope) going forwards.
