Also, how do you define "their people"? Hitler encountered a similar issue in defining what a true German was. If we mean one's an extension of close family to extended family and outward, where does one draw the line, and can the line be erased or redrawn, such as if a son foresakes his birthright, moved to another culture, and has children there. Are they less the parent's "people" than someone else of the parents' culture but more distantly related?
