So what I did was to cut thick Manila file folders to size and slip them between the lattice work and the mirrors. I wish that I'd found plastic ones but I had to make do with what I had. For the most part, these worked just fine. The only difficulty I had was removing them once my project was finished. It took an ex-acto knife and razor blades to cut the file folders out in pieces; I was not able to remove them easily.
