it's true that many people use phones nowadays, but it defeats the purpose of the privacy software if i have to subject myself to tracking to use it. post quantum end to end encryption is useless if the messages are sucked up by the keyboard and used for personalized ads before the user sends them.

i'm not asking for the devs to stop developing for phones, but it would be nice to see actual good clients for their software on the desktop; one would think that if privacy is really your goal then you'd put at least some effort into it, and not put on a pseudo-privacy front a la nordvpn or protonmail.
if your desktop client is a mess then it drives away the people who would like to use your program for real privacy.
