I think part of the problem for Ken Behrens trying to access public health services at TCH is that its also a primary care centre for regionally located folk. So its a larger pool of folk accessing already limited services here. And then triaging care needs pushes folk down the list.
Even tho NSW govt pays, it doesn't change the number of beds / surgery slots available.
But a year of waiting isn't ok regardless.
Perhaps a chat with the GP about accessing services in NSW - Queanbeyan, Sydney, Goulburn (?), other - may speed things up (and assuming Canberra folk can access piblic health services in NSW ie a reciprocal agreement?)
