#TheBadSpace has an appeals process. Outside of me making safe spaces for listed instances to talk to the places that have them blocked, the process is centered around listed instances making amends and meaningful changes to the satisfaction of an instance that has them moderated.

So it’s not about what I think about a specific instance but what the community thinks.

I think that’s why no instance has ever applied for an appeal.

They don’t want to face the consequences for their behavior, so they harass me in an attempt to delegitimize the project.

But it’s never been about my opinions and perspectives. My blocklist isn’t even a part of the data set. I don’t personally block any instance on TBS. That’s not how it works.

I understand some people don’t like how I deal with bigots and that’s fine, but I made it a point to make sure my views are not central to the project.

TBS is about the community, not the singular view of one person.

That’s the beauty of it.
