I think this extends in ways we don't openly see. I have acquaintances that are minorities, crippled, trans, gay, short, tall, skinny, fat, etc. In general I really don't give a shit what they are, as long as they are good people. I mostly ignore their genitalia, or skin color, or lack of legs. Because I really just don't give a damn. If asked about a person, I respond with "they think that..." and talk about what they THINK. Not the missing limbs.
