My current company is extremely good at approving and paying expense reports very quickly--the one I submitted at the end of the day Wednesday was already deposited in my account this morning. But I still get such anxiety any time I have to submit one because of prior companies that were just awful about nitpicking things that were submitted fully in accordance with policy and procedure but would say shit like "that's not really how it should be done / the policy doesn't actually mean that."
