- it's more dangerous (getting to it means crossing a fast moving lane of buses and taxis)
- it's a longer route
- there are more traffic lights to wait for
I usually go through the Luas stop if it is clear (keeping to the right of the tracks) otherwise I cycle on the parallel carriageway and take the lane to avoid being squeezed off the road.
