quotingOne challenge is always how a forum gets moderated. Reddit uses subreddits which end up as little kingdoms. Popular subreddits are ruled over and competing narratives are always hard forks that end up with totally separate communities. What if instead a subreddit was just a hash tag or collection of tags. For example #bitcoin. Moderators of the tag could be anyone/everyone. It’s all opt in. It’s all unilateral exit.

A user could delegate a mod or a group of mods to slay bots remove off topic posts but otherwise neutral otherwise. Another user could pick a mod or group of mods who are hardcore bip 110 and don’t want to see any anti bip110 content. They all exist within bitcoin but each user gets the feed they want and content doesn’t have to constantly reposted for each competing interest group. This becomes far more personalized. If a user feels like their delegated mod is being a dick they can choose a different person or group of people.
I could even see a world where a user could split all zaps with the mod team they have delegated and the content creator.
An advanced version of this would let you build a web of trust so that you pick a mod and the mods mod also influences your feed. Cascading delegated moderation.
This is far more fluid and elegant than relay based systems. In fact eventually relays might start following the preferences of respected mods or mod groups.
