I'm wondering how difficult it would be to read No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai and put a much more idealistic and optimistic spin on the theme, and a *literal* spin on the title (which I know in Japanese means something more like "disqualified from being human," but if you can't be human, might as well make the most of it...).
