Why does NWC feels yolo?
You can pay from your self-custodial wallet with NWC, unlike ecash.
Regarding taker taking the before, I'm not sure that makes such a difference since the most time consuming element is the creating the BLIK code on the taker's bank app, and that you have to do it when you're ready to enter it, otherwise it will expire after 2mins.
Unless you're shopping during times where most takers are sleeping the average waiting time for a taker to reserve is ~10s.
