And there is plenty of anecdotal evidence, since you wait to include that, to support the claim that mass distribution of cameras lead to mass surveillance of innocent people and loss of privacy and agency.
Regarding your studies, follow Tue money on them. They are sponsored or ran by flock. These cameras aren't deployed with the good graces of the people's will in those jurisdictions - instead, it smells more like traditional greased palms. You need only to search of the uproar these cameras have caused and, in some cases, removed by local governments after the will of the people is actually made known. Austin, TX is a beautiful example of all of this.
