The (in my opinion) best cinema (Savoy in Hamburg) screened “2001: A Space Odyssey” in 70mm. This was the first time I’ve seen the film in a movie theater and oh boi, that was certainly a trip. Some films are just meant to be experienced on the big screen.
This was also the quietest theater crowd ever. Even during the sometimes extensive stretches of silent scenes there was no sound coming from the crowd. Unbelievably respectful and that’s why I love the Savoy cinema.
