also yes, like...there are so many small/subtle differences in phrasing that can make a big difference in any language. and (relevant to your interests) I still often see machine translation tripping over them

I think of things like "pire" vs "le pire", «Il ne mange que de la pizza» vs «Il ne mange pas que de la pizza», etc

to say nothing of colloquial language, or idioms like "fin comme du gros sel" 😂
