Just watched The Last Remake of Beau Geste (1977), and, it is... something! Every cw in the book. All-star 1970s cast, including Henry Gibson, who just blows me away in everything I ever see him in.
I'm curious about the history of the technique of having a character in 'this film' interact with charcters in other films, a la Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, or Purple Rose of Cairo, both of which must have been influenced by this Beau Geste.
