Where I live, moss is prevalent. People go through all kinds of crazy measures to kill this "short green stuff", so they can have grass as "short green stuff" instead.
Meanwhile, they go through various measures to make grass survive our hot summers, which the moss survives easily.
It's like dumping hundreds of dollars in their yard, when they could have the same result for free, and with nearly zero maintenance.
