Loving your country doesn't have to mean liking and accepting everything about it. You can love your country and want it to improve. Some people would say that is a better type of patriotism than just blindly supporting everything your country does.
You are also free to stop doing things you were raised to do if you find they don't align with your adult values. Plenty adults choose to leave religions they were raised to believe in.
