This is an interesting and good point. I think it's got to do with sovereignty, yes.but also with the acknowledgement that so much of our digital world relies on trackers and marketing.
Bitcoiners seem to be much less interested in being a marketable cohort. Rather, they prefer to be part of the group at arms length. Able to solve problems together. But be separate whenever desired. This is a great thing as it increases resilience, reduces blast radius of negative impacts and enables an onramp for newcomers (still needs to be fixed)
