I can speak, subjectively, against China in-stead if you wish:
1) their cuisine is one of the greatest, but their desserts really suck
2) their language is fascinating but soooo difficult to learn for a foreigner that borders the impossible
3) their freedom of expression is way too limited for any western mind
4) their natural wonders and historical artifacts are amazing but the museography/choreography is generally backward and cheap compared to the european one
5) chinese great productivity ethos is oftentimes at expense of creativity and imagination
All that said ..they are one of the greatest civilization in the history of mankind, one of the most ancient, complex, deep, most peaceful, technologically and socially advanced.
Under the so-despised CCP rule, China raised hundreds of million people from abject poverty to wellbeing in less than four decades (no one else did it so fast in history), send men to space, turned deserts into productive fields, developed crazy infrastructures, realized technological breakthrough, promoted peace and development around the Global South, and so on and so forth.
