"content": "I keep seeing #job descriptions asking for experience in “modern #programming languages” and then listing #Python (1991), #Java (1995), JavaScript (1995), #GoLang (2009), and/or #Rust (2012) in the same breath. That's a hell of a spread for modernity!\n\nUnless, of course, they mean “used by ‘modern’ #developers,” in which case, cue the music!\n\n(to the tune of “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General” from Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance”) (1/7)",
