The system I'm working on for #perl is all about value assertions. So rather than simply saying it's a string, you could say it has to match some pattern, or even has to pass an arbitrarily defined check function. It's sufficiently different from a lot of other things I've seen. It's also almost entirely dynamic - it's about the actual data in runtime values, not simply static compiletime call graphs.
