"content": "Orca Slicer 2.4.0 was released couple of days ago and for me it was a very exciting release as it added Z contouring.\n\nBenchy's roof is a good example of slightly angled flat surface where the layers become very apparent. Z contouring aims to minimize this effect by adjusting Z axis movement below the layer size in these spots. It's basically better version of dynamic layer size as it automatically targets the problem spots.\n\nHere's Benchy's roof in 0.24 layers, first picture as is and second with the Z contouring enabled. The layers are still there, but look at what happens to the layer steps at the back.
