I don't know if people are following the next gen miata rumor mill but it's interesting. this generation could be good or bad but might mostly be a mixed bag.
They are using a mild hybrid and to comply with international emissions regs they will use a detuned 2.5l engine with their compression engine tech and target a similar amount of power as the outgoing 2.0. What's interesting about this is it allows for some interesting modding. the regular 2.5 makes 185 hp and turboed it would make 300hp.
