"Rats were anesthetized by inhalation of isoflurane (Covetrus, Inc.). The anesthetized rats were transferred to a rat restrainer, which restrained the possible head movement during the intranasal administration. The restrainer can also maintain the rats' posture after the administration. Rats were placed in a supine position. With the restrainer tilted up by 45 degrees, 50 µl of solution was gently administered to the nostrils by pipette and inhaled by the rats. Delivery was alternated between the left and right nostrils until administration was complete".
I too was curious. Now we know. 😆
