The United States has announced plans to withdraw 5,000 troops from Europe, including 4,000 personnel currently stationed in Poland.
Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe, said the reduction will involve the return of an armored brigade to the United States. The brigade, consisting of roughly 4,000 soldiers, had been deployed in Poland.
