it is a good article and I relate in many ways, but it is very disturbing as a COVID-conscious person to see the article promoted with a headshot of the scientist wearing a mask with an exhalation valve. For me, it taints the entire conversation, and it also subconsciously promotes the idea that masks with exhalation valves are safe to use. Sure. It's safe for the person wearing it, but not safe for the people around them if they themselves have COVID.
