My extended US/Canadian family returned north of the border when Trump was elected, 6 months in and hearing others with Canadian connections desperate to leave - the realization that even if the Dems win the 2026 midterms, and the 2028 presidency, the country is so broken, so divided, so occluded from accurate information there is no going back - the US is a failed state
