I have been thinking about why the ux for most apps built by small teams especially on #nostr isn't as solid as their alternatives.

For most technical developers, spending too much time on UI is exhausting and demotivating except it is a job you are being paid for. When thinking about UX, the goal is to simplify things that have already been built. It isn't where they want to spend their time on. It requires people that really care about those kind of things.

For-profit companies on the other hand, can afford to dedicate resources into the ux and have dedicated teams solely working there.

Take the copy-party file browser as an example, this app is insane from a feature standpoint but would scare most users away because of its UI/ux. I don't think the dev would have been motivated to keep rolling out features if they spent lots of time focusing on the UI/ux.

Good UI/Ux requires someone else that is part of the team to focus exclusively on.

So when I see comments on #nostr ux sucking, this should probably put things in perspective.
