I think our son was a senior in high school the time we went away for a weekend and told him "nobody in the house." When we came back, he admitted that he'd "had a couple of the guys over." Then we found the garbage cans were filled to the brim with beer cans. And that told us they'd had girls over, because the kitchen floor wasn't sticky.
But we didn't take his key away.
