To my surprise I got a reply to this invoice from a person unknown to me, who apparently was the new CEO. He only sent back a single line in an email, saying "invoices will be paid when the work has been completed."
That's all he sent. No introduction, hello I'm new, who are you, nice to meet you, no.
So ok... a bit awkward, being in such a senior position while having such poor social skills, but fine, I'll do the work first then, whatever.
