U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has released video showing U.S. Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit boarding the merchant vessel M/V Blue Star 3, which was suspected of attempting to violate the U.S. naval blockade of Iran.
Following the boarding and inspection, U.S. forces determined that the ship’s planned route did not include a port call in Iran, and the vessel was subsequently cleared and allowed to continue its voyage.
