Is it just me or is Dark Passion Play still a monster album 19 years later? Having explored more of Nightwish's discography I understand why it was so divisive and why some people still don't like it - it's a breakup album with some extraordinarily mean-spirited songs and lyrics - but after the bitterness has faded I still find almost every track to be fucking rad.
