They are trying again right now - I heard one of a Labour research group talking about it on BBC R4, ('The Moral Maze' if you want to check it out), last night - they are currently planning a form of digital ID, on your phone, that would be compulsory - "just like your bank card is on your phone"...so convenient to have all your ID in one place, on a single, massive database...but for who? Time to resist.
