Yeah. We dont ban books here. We do, on occasion, require sexual material to be placed in an adult section.
And we remove these books (sometimes) from school libraries.
But we do not ban books on a federal level. There are a very small number of public libraries that have altogether removed titles from their collections after community uproars.
Llano Texas did this in their public library. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear an appeal in December 2025, upholding the ban based on the "government speech" doctrine.
