There’s a Reddit post about a fat guy doing incredibly athletic feats, and there’s a lot of people bitter about it.

They’re angry that fat people aren’t content to just be fat and want to better themselves physically.

But what strikes me as funny is this one comment that says:

> Now, let’s see if he can jog daily

I’m a fat man who jogs daily. In fact, I’m about to go for a 20 minute run. Two years ago, when I started, I couldn’t even run for a solid minute.

Let me tell you, the body adjusts. Not only does it adjust, it *craves* running. My knees feel great after a lengthy run.

What do I do afterwards, I cycle for 20 minutes.

Does this play havoc on my joints? I haven’t got injured once yet from running.

Mind you, perhaps one reason is because I do lots of leg exercises. So the impact on my knees isn’t that big of a deal.

Being fat and running is entirely doable. When you get started, it might hurt for a bit. You will be out of breath. But once you condition yourself, you’ll be fine.

Would it be better if I weighed less?

Probably. But this is who I am now. And rather than slinking back in a corner and being ashamed of being fat, I’m whipping myself into shape.

Let the fatphobes be angry about it. I’m *still* in the gym six days a week.
