Came upon an enthusiastic take on Substack newsletters being "like the return of blogging, just less commercial".
Folks, the sound you hear is me turning to dust as I realize many not-even-young-anymore people view blogging as an inherently commercial practice: something you do on closed, ad-supported or subscription-based platforms, and also something that often involves product placement or other paid or sponsored content.
