AI can definitely be hit and miss but when it comes to fairly standard tasks like basic security on a VPS it's usually pretty good in my experience.
Depends which one you use though. I've found ChatGPT and Grok can both be good for troubleshooting and general config tasks.
Claude, even though it's very good for code, is very bad at troubleshooting. I mean literally at the level of "well the error says there's a connection issue so are you absolutely sure your WiFi is on?" It's like talking to someone in an Indian call centre reading a script 😂
I need to experiment more with Gemini. It's been very good whenever I've used it, but I've not used it extensively enough for this type of task specifically. I imagine it'll be good tbf.
