It'd be pretty annoying if car manufacturers swapped the brake and gas pedals with every new model release. I get it. but that's why IT should be managing that stuff centrally if possible. you have to move a bit slower, plan for change, train and communicate. It's a lot of underappreciated work. I jokingly call myself an Internet janitor in my current gig, cuz that's about how we get treated.
