Previous house owners seemed to have given up maintaining the garden about 10 to 15 years ago so it was a bit of a wilderness (to put it mildly).
Had some excellent dudes round today cutting the dangerous overgrown trees down to manageable height (and so they can bush out again with regrowth).
This fat kererū was very much enjoying picking bugs off the cut stumps.
