We have large areas of our back yard where we do not mow all year. Our policy is pretty much "whatever grows there, we let it grow".
It's mostly grasses, but we have a whole lot of milkweed multiply this year.
But, one wild flower popped up there on its own this week for the first time, and we are delighted. We hope it drops its seed and returns next year.
