In a debt based system people's eyes are wide shut. They see everything but nothing in particular. They feel the pain but don't know where to focus the relief. It's like a constant ominous omnipresent slow burning killer of all who feed it while the few in the dark tower watch and wait, looking down on their oyster ,for a little difference in the movement and with a snap of the fingers, snuff it out like it never existed at all.
