one shitty thing about using discord on linux is it makes me download and install a new deb file every two weeks because they cant leave well enough alone.
EDIT:
there's a json config. it should be in your discord installation or if on linux ~/.config/discord/settings.json
put "SKIP_HOST_UPDATE": true
