Some symbols can evolve, sure. However, there is still objective history and definitions IMO. I don't mean to split hairs with you, but since I've often been a loner in life, I like objective mile markers. I don't like mob rule, especially a undisciplined mob. In this sense I like order instead of chaos. I like scholarship/wisdom over pure impulse, even if I respect the power of pure impulse (even mob impulse).
