Eleven years is long enough to forget why you started. Long enough for the price to have humiliated you at least once and probably more than once. Long enough to wonder if the quiet voice is wisdom or stubbornness. The desert fathers would have recognized that voice. They might have called it patience, humility, or perseverance. It is not the same as certainty.
